WOAH a blast from the past! I came across this dress I constructed out of coffee filters from when I was a student at RISD. It is made entirely out of coffee filters dyed in 10 different flavors of tea and in a Ripley’s museum now. What’s funny is that they put the skirt on backwards. Wah wah.
How cute is this SENA Fringe Miniskirt in this shot! Better yet, paired with another spectacular piece from Joomi Lim’s SS12 Liquid Titanium Collection! Be on the lookout for this in an upcoming issue of Nylon!
This necklace is from our SS12 Liquid Titanium Collection. It will definitely give any outfit a boost of wow! Above, a photo from Susie G from Click/Clash. She writes “Loving this look with @topshop top and @joomlim necklace. Check out the Feb issue of @nylonmag…” Click here for more.
This month I had the amazing opportunity to speak with New York City teens about Fashion Design at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum’s Teen Design Fair held at The Altman Building in New York City. Key note speaker Tim Gunn gave fresh and realistic answers to student’s questions about design that was refreshing and relatable. It was so much fun to speak to all the students and be able to answer all their questions and give points of guidance for their journeys in their creative paths they wanted to pursue whether it was in Fashion Design or not. Thanks so much to the Cooper-Hewitt for this incredible opportunity!
